Honda CB500F Highlights

Built for the streets, looking sporty with its naked centerpiece and consistently reliable, the Honda CB500F is no doubt among the revolutionized twin-cylinder sportsbikes in the modern generation of motorcycles today. It is engineered to deliver sweet road action and remains unstoppable in providing outstanding ride experience be it around town or in the highway. The CB500F breathes from a compact 471cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine mated with the same bore x stroke of CBR600RR sportsbike for a great combination of strong low-end torque and excellent top-end power. Its PGM-FI electronic fuel injection system ensures crisp throttle response and smooth operation under different riding conditions. The six-speed transmission now shifts smoother and more precise than the previous models. The CB500F chassis is supported by a tough yet lightweight diamond-shaped steel frame while its suspension is tuned-up to guarantee comfortable rides over bumps and other road imperfections with improved stability and handling. The stylish cast wheels contribute to the bike’s good look and maneuverability. Also, the brakes have strong but easily managed stopping power to maintain a seamless and confident ride. Ergonomics and unique style also makes Honda CB500F the most sought after sportsbike. Its aggressive look is achieved by incorporating LED headlight and taillight, step seat with low height, passenger seat and rear strap, full LCD blue-tinted screen, shorter muffler, compact handlebar-mounted wind deflector to its exposed powerhouse and curvy body. It has good fuel efficiency which means longer range and under seat storage for small utilities. With its beautifully crafted engine and body, Honda CB500F is surely a fun-to-ride middleweight sportsbike.

Honda CB500F Review

Throwing a leg over the Honda CB500F, we instantly feel how comfortable it is from the relaxed riding position, wide handlebars, low soft seat and footpegs at reasonable height. First off, the engine starts without difficulty and we immediately felt connected to the machine. The modest 471cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine is ultimately rider-friendly and very predictable. Squeezing out the throttle and we began to enjoy the soft bottom-end power of the bike that allowed us to explore the scenery. It also ran smoothly on suburbs as a great commuter but can also become a weekend warrior for canyon carving. The torque curve stretched from 2,800rpm to 8,500rpm and so we did not do many shifting around town. Along the road, we noticed the precise shifting with its upgraded transmission and the clutch lever with moderately light pull are good features for less experienced riders. Easy handling, smooth power delivery and comfortable ergonomics made it a great commuter. Riding at higher speed is worry free thanks to its strong braking power that never let us down throughout the ride. The real fun began as we reached the 6,000rpm but it can still go until the 8,500rpm redline. Weighing only 414 pounds, the CB500F is incredibly felt light and nimble on the road. It has adequate power to keep us entertained as well as enough fuel to give us longer mileage. All in all, the ride was fantastic and the bikes aggressive look really captivates us at first look. The Honda CB500F has clean styling with the exposed engine, minimal graphics and a muscular body. The muffler with rumbling noise, LED lights with bright illumination and the rich paint is surely an attention grabber on the road.
