Honda CBR1000RR White’s Ride Test

Enhancements are made on Honda CBR1000RR White’s new cylinder head, revised valve seats, intake ports and exhaust system which are responsible for increasing the mid-range output and to improve the bike’s responsiveness. In order to see the contribution of those upgrades, we did an ultimate test ride on the street and race track. We are off! We love the repositioned foot-pegs of CBR1000RR which gave us that aggressive riding position plus the bubble windscreen that gives larger air pocket for a perfect aerodynamic. The increased aerodynamics claimed an easy and safe ride on the street with less air buffeting our face. Also the transmission made gear shifting around town easy and fine. CBR1000RR handles its 200kg weight pretty well especially on track and it did not even stress out our legs and shoulders after the ride. It never get tired after an all-day test ride, still with enough power until the next day. The power of 999.8cc liquid-cooled 4-stroke 16-valve DOHC inline-4 feels adequate through mid-range and even amazed us when the bike delivered a linear power of 133kW @12,250rpm. Its ultimate peak power let us drive on the corners without problems encountered at all. There is no traction control but having good tires and riding on dry road conditions is still acceptable. It’s smooth throttle response, linear power delivery, good engine feedback and easy gear shifting made it ideal for bike racing competitions.
