Kawasaki Vulcan 1700 Voyager ABS Higlights

A combination of exceptional road performance and a traditional looking touring motorcycle is what describes Kawasaki Vulcan 1700 Voyager ABS. Its power roots from four-stroke, liquid-cooled, SOHC, four valves per cylinder, 52-degree V-twin 1,700cc engine and stems from six-speed with overdrive and positive neutral finder. It has the capacity to crank out a maximum power of 54 kW @ 5,000rpm and a peak torque of 136 Nm @ 2,750rpm. Responsible for transferring all these power to the wheels is the Six-speed with overdrive and positive neutral finder transmission thus making longer rides more comfortable and seamless. Offering reliable performance and relaxed touring rides during summer days, the Vulcan 1700 Voyager ABS is geared up with Kawasaki Air Management System (KAMS) that will direct the heat away from the motor making the bike cool adding comfort to the rider and passenger. While there are several motorcycle dedicated for touring there is only few who deserve to be known by their abilities and the Vulcan Voyager is among them. Aside from its traditional style, it also provides excellent braking system, improved wind protection, integrated saddlebags, optimal chassis design, excellent ergonomics and responsive engine – all for smooth riding experience.

Kawasaki Vulcan 1700 Voyager ABS Review

Power Delivery.

The power of its 1,700cc displacement engine was more than sufficient for extreme road touring adventure. It delivered excellent power from our start up until around 3000rpm while it still pulls upon reaching the redline @ 6000rpm though it felt a little restraint. Short shifting around 3000rpm, its power moved us forward very sprightly. There is plenty of torque to maintain even at sustained speed. Along with its 6-speed transmission and heel/toe shifter, Kawasaki Vulcan 1700 Voyager ABS is rider friendly, comfortable to ride and equipped with incredible stopping power.

Tour Experience.

Though with its masculine look, the bike surprisingly feels lighter when cruising on twisted roads. Its under damped suspension contributed on taking turns effortlessly and to drag its foot board with ease. The lower body is geared up with pivoting sections that hinders or allow air to flow through the engine. Taller windshield is a good protection too. Handling is great and the Vulcan Voyager is lighter than other tourer on its class. Another one is the powerful and controllable braking system which keeps the bike balanced under hard braking, gives good feel when riding on winding roads. We love the two saddlebags that can accommodate the rider and passenger helmets. The next time we’ll take the Kawasaki Vulcan 1700 Voyager ABS for a weekend ride to take advantage of the comfort and power it has.
