Kawasaki W800 Review

The retro look inspired of Kawasaki W800 and the engineers close attention to its parts made it ahead of the competition. From its wheel spokes and exhaust port to its seats and headlight everything is on the retro side thus making us longing for a test ride. And so we are out to check the road performance of this retro-chic. Riding at a max torque lower than 2500rpm there is no need to rev too hard because it can smoothly rev until 6,500 but the best grunt is always between 3000 to 5000 rpm. Acceleration out of the line is a little flat but when it heats up, the motorcycle delivered good feedback. We didn’t felt strong pulls since the engine revs very smooth that made us all surprised. Fuel tank capacity is 14 liters and it claimed 20km per liter which means it can go on a total of 280km range during our test ride. Its perfect to ride around town on weekends and city streets commutes. The springs of the twin shocks is soft but the motorcycle still managed to lessen the bouncy feeling when getting over the bumps thanks to its damping. Carrying a pillion is an option but we think rigid springs need to be setup beforehand. Pulling on corners is easy and exciting using stiffer springs – it makes riding more fun. Kawasaki W800 does not need an ABS system because it already has superb stopping power which is enough to lock the front forks. This retro motorcycle is ideal for comfortable cruising and everyday commuting not to mention its smooth engine and low seat height.
